Teaching E-Safety at school and college
Today's news that a 14 year old boy has been reported to the police for making and distributing indecent images of himself has worrying consequences; not just around the humiliation he now faces but also the fears that the information will be stored and could be disclosed to future employers.
This is yet another example as to why schools and colleges need to revisit how they teach E-Safety to all students.
The commonly used approach of blocking internet access does little to educate or protect students.
